Sara Gregory (piano, flutes, clarinets, saxophones) received her Masters in Music Performance from Western Illinois University, then applied her knowledge to teaching immediately. Starting with early education, then moving to junior high, high school and eventually college teaching, Ms. Gregory has experience teaching music at any age. She has been an early education director, musical performer, professional dancer, rock band instructor, stage manager, entertainment columnist, music librarian, band director, and is currently concentrating her efforts as a Music Professor at Waubonsee Community College.
Ms. Gregory teaches World Music, Survey of Humanities, Global Villages, Music Appreciation, Music in America, Piano I/II/III as well as private students at W.C.C.; starting in fall 2016, she is honored to begin her Doctorate of Education at Aurora University. Ms. Gregory’s laid back style and versatile background encourages students to pursue the music they love, ranging from traditional to popular music. In addition to piano, with her degrees in saxophone performance and jazz studies from W.I.U., Ms. Gregory also has extensive experience teaching and performing on flutes, clarinets and saxophones.
