INTERVIEW LESSONS A free, no-obligation Interview Lesson is offered to all new music students.
LESSON TIMES Lessons occur once per week.
RATES 30 minute lesson: $25 / 50 minute lesson $36
TUITION Tuition fees are due in advance, at the beginning of each month.
Make check payments to your teacher’s name, or pay with credit card on your teacher’s Square Payment Swiper. Payments may be slipped under the front door of Suite 101 or placed in the basket above the Studio water dispenser. Checks may be mailed to the Studio’s address.
A $20 fee will be assessed for late payments made 2 days or more after the beginning of the next billing period.
HOLIDAYS AND VACATIONS No lessons occur on the following holidays: District 203 Spring Break, Memorial Day, Labor Day, Independence Day, Halloween (Oct. 31), Thanksgiving weekend, District 203 Winter Break, Martin Luther King Day, and Presidents Day.
Only adults may take extended absences and vacation time as long as times are pre-arranged in advance with teacher.
ATTENDANCE Lessons continue over the summer. Musical instruction is most effective when it is consistent. Your tuition payment reserves your time slot for you exclusively, and that time remains reserved for you whether you choose to attend your lesson or not.
However, students will qualify for one make-up lesson every eight weeks (with a maximum of six per year) if notification of an absence is provided 24 hours or more in advance.
CANCELLATION Students must give notice at least 24 hours prior to absence; Lesson fees will be incurred for late cancellations (less than 24 hours of notice), and student no-shows. Free Weeks must be reported at the beginning of the month, when paying. Make-up lessons are to be scheduled at that time if they are available. If teacher cancels, you will be credited on the next tuition invoice.
FREE WEEKS All students are given 3 Free Weeks per calendar year to be absent in addition to existing Studio holidays and vacations. 1 additional Free Week will be given with instructor permission only in cases of family emergency.
RECITALS Two optional Recitals per year are held at an outside Recital Hall in Autumn and Spring. Recitals have a $25 per student fee not including printed music with discounts for siblings.
EXPECTATIONS Please try to arrive to lessons on time. Because of large volumes of students, we are unable to alter the schedule for late arrivals.
MATERIALS All books and materials need to be brought to every lesson. Beginning students require:
–a one-subject spiral notebook
–box-type metronome ($20 at any music store)
–Lesson books designated by teacher
–Recommended: music tote bag
