Music Lesson Policy

INTERVIEW LESSONS A free, no-obligation Interview Lesson is offered to all new music students. Interview Lessons last approximately 20 minutes.

LESSON TIMES Lessons are 30 minutes, once per week. 45 and 60 minute lessons are available to intermediate students based upon availability.

PIANO LESSON RATES 30 minute lesson: $24 / 45 minute lesson $36

GUITAR LESSON RATES 30 minutes: $22

TUITION All lesson tuition is non-refundable. Tuition is due the first week of the month.

Please make check payments to your teacher's name. If your teacher is Brendan Newsome of Chris Zamora, please write your check to Brendan Newsome or Chris Zamora. Checks may be given to your teacher or mailed to 500 E. Ogden, Suite 101, Naperville IL 60563.

LATE FEES Fees for late payment will be added to the next tuition period.
7 days late: $10 / 14 days late $20 /30 days late: $50 Teacher cannot provide lesson $25 fee for returned checks.

HOLIDAYS AND VACATIONS No lessons occur on the following holidays: District 203 Spring Break, Memorial Day, Labor Day, Independence Day, Halloween (Oct. 31), Thanksgiving weekend, District 203 Winter Break.

Three Family Vacation Weeks are given to each student every year to be used at any time during the year. Additional vacation weeks must be arranged with and approved by your teacher and Kimberly Steele. Please give us advance notice of vacation time.

CANCELLATION Music Tuition is non-refundable. Students are responsible for their arranged time with teacher. MAKE-UP/ RESCHEDULED LESSONS ARE NOT GIVEN IN THIS STUDIO. Please take this policy into special consideration before choosing the Kimberly Steele Music Studio. Please call (630) 561-6456 to notify us of cancellations.

RECITALS Two optional Recitals per year are held in Autumn and Spring.

EXPECTATIONS Please try to arrive to lessons on time. Because of large volumes of students, we are unable to alter the schedule for late arrivals. Please keep fingernails trimmed VERY SHORT, less than 1/8 inch in length. Shoes with thin, hard, flat soles are ideal for pedaling. Parents are welcomed to sit in on lessons.

MATERIALS All books and materials need to be brought to every lesson. Beginning students require:
--a one-subject spiral notebook
--box-type metronome ($20 at any music store)
--Piano Adventures Lesson book, level assigned by teacher
--Recommended: music tote bag

LIABILITY WAIVER By signing this agreement, I agree that Kimberly Steele Music is not liable or responsible for any injuries sustained on the premises of 500 East Ogden Avenue. Kimberly Steele retains the right to terminate lessons with any student or guardian of student who displays inappropriate behavior or who fails to respect Studio Policy.
